As a service provider for scientific high performance computing, LRZ operates compute systems for use by educational institutions in Munich, Bavaria as well as on a nation wide level. Beyond operation of system hardware, LRZ services also encompass backup/archive, visualization and Grid Computing, as well as regular training courses on usage of HPC systems, parallel programming and optimization.
