HLRB, KONWIHR and Linux-Cluster:
Review, Results and Future Projects Workshop
- Preparing for Petascale Systems -

Location LRZ Building, Boltzmannstrasse 1, 85748 Garching
Date

Tue December 8 - Wed December 9, 2009

Content

The workshop covers the scientific projects from the timeframe 2008-2009 and serves as a forum for the exchange of experiences between the projects as well as between project collaborators, the members of the steering committee and LRZ. Participants from new projects are also invited for presentations.

LRZ is presently entering into the active phase of procuring the successor system to the HLRB II. The new system will provide Petascale performance levels. Therefore the workshop will also give you the unique opportunity to present new challenging projects and your requirements on future hardware and software. LRZ for its part will sketch its present plans for this procurement.
