Opening times

 

The Museum "Kingdom of Crystals" (Museum Reich der Kristalle) is the public part of
the Mineralogische Staatssammlung Muenchen. Its opening hours are:

Tuesday to Friday: 13.00 - 17.00 (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)
Saturday and Sunday: 10.00 - 17.00 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Closed on Mondays, open on public holidays

The Mineralogische Staatssammlung Muenchen is a research institution that forms part of the Bavarian Natural History Collections. Its scientific tasks include the collection, storage and study of the minerals of our planet. One focus is, of course, on Bavarian minerals. For the other main topics of research at the Mineralogische Staatssammlung Muenchen please have a look at its own homepage.

The Mineralogische Staatssammlung Muenchen is also engaged in public education. This is done through the Museum "Kingdom of Crystals", located in Munich.
