Who we were ...

The German-American Friendship Club was an informal group of German, American and other international students - both undergraduate and graduate - in Munich. The GAF Stammtisch was founded in November 1991 by German students who had just returned from studying in the United States. They had experienced the support of "German Clubs" at their universities and wanted to establish something similar in Munich.

The idea of GAF was to offer both, students interested in America and students visiting from America, a forum to meet, to have fun, to get support and to exchange ideas.
