PQMethod with DOSBox |
Current PQMethod release is 2.11 for DOS (compiled May-05-2008)
The
contents of this page as well as of the download file(s) will be
under continuus revisions for some while.
This page describes how to install and run PQMethod with
DOSBox on one memory stick for both platforms, Windows and Mac OS X.
Steps for both platforms
- After plugging in the USB stick change its name to QSTICK (required for the Mac!)
- Download PQMethod211_DOSBox.zip, and unzip its content to the USB-stick drive. Be sure to have the directories (folders) DOSBox-files-for-Mac, DOSBox_Windows, and PQMethod at the top level, i.e., not as sub-directories. Unfortunately, the default at least on Macs seems to be that an additional folder named "PQMethod211_DOSBox" is created, into which the contents are extracted. In this case you must move the above mentioned folders up to the root level of the memory stick.
Additional steps for MAC OS X only
- Download the DOSBox Mac OS X dmg and install the "disk image" on your USB stick QSTICK.
- Copy the file dosbox.conf from QSTICK-directory: DOSBox-files-for-Mac into your DOSBoxMac OS X application folder.
Note: On a windows PC the steps described above cannot be executed. But you can download the required zip-file to the USB-stick already. Here is the direct link to DOSBox-0.72_Universal.dmg.zip. To be on the secure side better do not extract the zip-file under windows.
